Why Become a Copyeditor and a Proofreader?

For me, becoming a copyeditor and a proofreader was simple.  An avid reader since the age of four, I learned to respect the printed word of numerous authors be it in books, magazines, newspapers, etc.

As in those long-ago-days, noticing a mistake – a typo – in any text was incredulous, an insult!  However, as an adult, typos were and are everywhere.  They don’t have to be.

Therefore, I became a copyeditor and proofreader.  This is the type of assistance needed for authors, writers, to avoid numerous mistakes in context, grammer, spelling, punctuation, and overall presentation.
